First of all, ditch the word "retard" from your vocabulary, pronto, please. It's an anachronism, thrown around casually these days , that's an insult to any developmentally disabled person and the people who take care of them. Next, assuming you were referring to Tim Tyler, name me a 23 year-old who doesn't suffer from insanely bad judgement from time to time. All through the early 80's at the shows I watched those DEA fuckers dressed in their "hippie" clothes preying on the parking lots and busting young heads by the dozens.(Anyone remember Poplar Creek in '83?) The government, state and federal, were charging according to weight of paper, not just amount, of LSD, when sentencing - Tim's just one of many. When the AG announced the clemency program these people were among the first ones I thought of.

I agree "retard" is a poor choice...anyhew, yes 23 year olds can make very poor choices, especially blissed out kids dealing drugs...my "insult" was based on reading the article to see that he had been busted for drugs previously and should have learned his lesson and played up this incredibly naive act...on a bigger level, the war on drugs has been complete insanity based on cresting revenue on seizure, the fact that he would have even faced such a long sentence is entirely unreasonable and serves no benefit to the public good.

Ditch the habit of telling people what words not to use.

Thank you, serious, for the sentiments in the first part of your reply. I completely agree. Also, if anyone deserved rude insults, I was thinking the narc should have been the recipient, albeit without using strat's terminology.
